Police Officer Shoots at Vehicle Attempting to Run Him Over in Tel Aviv

The police reported that a vehicle carrying three passengers attempted to run over officers at a checkpoint on Salameh Street in Tel Aviv. When the vehicle tried to flee, one officer, fearing for his life, jumped onto the car and opened fire. Shortly afterward, police received a report of a shooting victim a few blocks away. Initial investigation revealed the injured person was an illegal resident from the territories, who sustained moderate injuries and was taken for medical treatment. The suspect vehicle was found abandoned without its passengers, and police continue to conduct searches. Authorities stated the incident has a criminal background.
