IDF and Shin Bet Arrest Senior Fatah Operative in Tulkarm
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency announced on September 14 the arrest of Muhammad Ibrahim Abd al-Wahab Shahadeh, a senior Fatah operative, in Tulkarm. The operation was carried out by soldiers from the Duvdevan unit, under the command of the Ephraim Brigade, with intelligence support from the Shin Bet.
According to the IDF, the arrest followed several weeks of operational and intelligence gathering. Shahadeh was wanted on suspicion of involvement in terrorist activities, planning and executing attacks, and arms trafficking.
The operation took place in the morning and involved forces from the Ephraim Brigade, which operates in the West Bank.
Shahadeh is described as a high-ranking figure within Fatah, and his arrest is considered a significant blow to the organization's operational capabilities in the region.
