IDF Unit Captures Senior Fatah Terror Operative in West Bank
Israeli special forces from the Duvdevan unit conducted a counter-terrorism operation in the Tulkarm area on Monday, arresting a senior Fatah operative involved in planning attacks and arms trafficking. The operation, which followed weeks of intelligence gathering by the Shin Bet security agency, targeted Muhammad Ibrahim Awahd Shahada, described as a high-value intelligence target.
Shahada, who had been in hiding and was considered a senior wanted individual, allegedly played an active role in advancing and planning terrorist attacks, as well as their execution. He was also reportedly involved in the trade of weapons.
The raid was carried out by Duvdevan fighters operating under the command of the Ephraim Brigade, with close intelligence support from the Shin Bet. The operation aimed to disrupt Fatah's terror infrastructure in the region.
