IDF and Shin Bet Arrest Senior Fatah Operative in Tulkarm

On the morning of September 14, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency arrested a high-ranking Fatah operative in Tulkarm. The operation was carried out by the Duvdevan special forces unit, under the command of the Ephraim brigade. Following intelligence gathering and search operations conducted over the past few weeks, security forces detained Muhammad Ibrahim Abd al-Wahab Shehada, identified as an influential Fatah militant in Tulkarm. The army stated that Shehada had been sought in recent months on suspicion of involvement in terrorist activities, including planning and organizing attacks, as well as illicit arms trafficking. The IDF emphasized that "security forces will continue to act preemptively to thwart terrorist threats throughout Judea and Samaria and protect the residents of the region and citizens of Israel." Palestinian media reported that IDF units abducted the 46-year-old Fatah secretary in the Tulkarm refugee camp, Muhammad Ibrahim Shehada. His vehicle was reportedly "blocked and fired upon with live ammunition in the eastern quarter of Tulkarm city," according to Refugeesps. The Fatah branch in Tulkarm confirmed the arrest of Shehada, also known by the nickname "Al-Abad," who serves as the secretary of the organizational bureau in the Tulkarm camp.
