IDF and Shin Bet Capture Senior Fatah Terrorist in Tulkarm

Israeli security forces apprehended a senior Fatah operative in Tulkarm on Monday, following an intelligence and operational manhunt lasting several weeks. The arrested individual, identified as Muhammad Ibrahim A'ah Wa'ah Shahada, was considered a high-ranking terrorist within Fatah in the Tulkarm area, according to a joint statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency.

Special forces from the Duvdevan unit, operating under the command of the Ephraim Brigade and with intelligence guidance from the Shin Bet, conducted a targeted operation in Tulkarm to carry out the arrest. Shahada was wanted on suspicion of involvement in numerous terrorist activities, including planning and executing attacks, as well as arms trafficking.

The operation culminated after weeks of surveillance and intelligence gathering that led to his location and capture. The IDF and Shin Bet emphasized that the arrest was part of a broader effort to thwart terrorist activities in the region.

While specific details regarding the attacks Shahada is suspected of involvement in or the arms he allegedly trafficked were not released, security officials stated that operations against terrorist elements in the West Bank will continue.
