Israel Railways Announces Yom Kippur Service Changes
Israel Railways has issued an urgent notice to passengers regarding service operations around Yom Kippur. On the eve of the holiday, Sunday, September 26, 2027, trains will operate on a special schedule designed to facilitate optimal movement. Passenger trains will run until 1:00 PM, with an enhanced schedule based on Friday timetables. This includes increased service on the Haifa-Tel Aviv line, with two trains per hour instead of one, and the operation of trains on the Hadera East - Rosh Ha'ayin North line.
As is customary annually, train services will not operate on the evening of Yom Kippur, Monday, September 27, 2027. Train traffic is scheduled to resume on Tuesday, September 28, 2027, including overnight services between Monday and Tuesday.
Israel Railways advises passengers to stay updated on schedules via their website, mobile application, or customer service hotline at *5770. The company extended wishes for a good year and a meaningful final sealing to all passengers.
