Efforts Underway to Release Body of British Man Found Near Rabbi Nachman's Tomb in Ukraine
Efforts are ongoing to release the body of Yitzhak Elmakiess, a British resident and father of seven, who was found deceased in a forest near the tomb of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov in Uman, Ukraine. Elmakiess had been staying in Uman and his body was discovered during the recent holiday.
Aharon Ben Harush, head of the delegation and deputy head of the United Hatzalah branch in Uman, stated that the case involved a Jewish resident of England found lifeless in the forest, with the circumstances under investigation. Medical and Breslov community activists are working with local authorities to expedite the release of the body for burial as soon as possible.
United Hatzalah rescue forces were present at the scene. The discovery occurred in the forest adjacent to the holy site.
