Jewish Man Found Dead Near Rabbi Nachman's Tomb in Uman
The body of a 45-year-old Jewish man, a father of seven from England, was discovered in a forest near the tomb of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov in Uman, Ukraine. ZAKA and United Hatzalah volunteers are working with local authorities to arrange for the man's burial.
The circumstances surrounding the death are under investigation. While initial assessments suggest the possibility of an accidental death, other avenues, including violence, are also being explored.
Aharon Ben Harush, head of the United Hatzalah delegation in Uman and deputy head of its local branch, stated after the holiday that the man was found lifeless in the forest. He added that United Hatzalah activists are coordinating with authorities for the swift release of the body for burial.
