Alexis Serna Signs Three-Year Deal With Beitar Jerusalem FC
Beitar Jerusalem FC, the Israeli Premier League club, has officially announced the signing of Colombian midfielder Alexis Serna to a three-year contract. The 28-year-old joins the Jerusalem-based team from Independiente Medellín for a transfer fee of €600,000.
Serna, who stands at 1.70 meters, is described as an intense midfielder capable of making runs from the second line and contributing to the attack. He is making his first move outside of Colombia, similar to teammate Brian Cabral, who also arrived from the Colombian league. Serna previously played for Independiente Medellín, where he scored three goals and provided two assists last season.
He will join Beitar Jerusalem's midfield alongside other foreign players including Nana Antwi, Brian Cabral, Luka Gadrani, Boris Enow, Eugene Ansah, and Jon Bosko Calo. This signing marks the second foreign player to join the club under head coach Almog Cohen, and the first to arrive from outside the Israeli Premier League.
