Colombian Midfielder Alexis Serna Arrives in Israel for Beitar Jerusalem Deal

Beitar Jerusalem is nearing the signing of Colombian midfielder Alexis Serna, who arrived in Israel on Tuesday morning. The 28-year-old is expected to undergo medical tests and then sign a two-year contract with an option for an additional season. The transfer fee from Independiente Medellín is approximately $500,000, with additional performance-based bonuses included in the agreement.

Serna's arrival will bring Beitar Jerusalem's foreign player quota to its maximum for the current season, making him the eighth foreign player on the squad. The club views him as a significant reinforcement for the midfield, hoping he will add depth, physicality, and quality to the team.

Serna joins Beitar after a period of inactivity due to injury, with his last official match in June.
