Colombian media outlet AS Colombia reports that Alexis Serna will not be joining Israeli Premier League club Beitar Jerusalem. The 28-year-old attacking midfielder is expected to remain with his current team, Independiente Medellín, as the club has reportedly rejected multiple offers for the player.
Beitar Jerusalem had attempted to sign Serna on loan with an option to buy, but their proposals were turned down. The transfer window for the Israeli league closes on September 16th, meaning Beitar may need to pursue other targets.
Serna, who has a contract with Independiente Medellín for another season and a half, made 25 appearances for the Colombian club last season, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists.
