Colombian media outlet AS Colombia reports that midfielder Alexis Serna will not be joining Israeli Premier League club Beitar Jerusalem. The 28-year-old player is expected to remain with his current team, Independiente Medellín, as the club has reportedly rejected multiple offers for him. Beitar Jerusalem had attempted to sign Serna on loan with an option to buy, but these proposals were turned down. Serna, who has a contract with Independiente Medellín for another season and a half, made 25 appearances for the club last season, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists. The Israeli transfer window closes on September 16, leaving Beitar Jerusalem to pursue other transfer targets.
