Beitar Jerusalem has been surprised by reports from Colombia suggesting that the club where intended midfielder Alexis Serana plays has announced the deal's collapse. The Israeli club had been led to believe otherwise by the player's Colombian agent and his representative in Israel, Avi Nimni. Beitar Jerusalem reportedly offered a deal of $200,000 for a loan with a purchase option and is awaiting a final decision by midday.
In parallel, Nadav Markovich will be loaned to Ironi Kiryat Shmona, a club he preferred over others.
Ahead of their match against Hapoel Tel Aviv at Bloomfield Stadium, Beitar will hold a celebratory toast with Mayor Moshe Leon and owner Barak Abramov. Prior to that, a press conference will feature Almog Cohen.
Professionally, Nana Antwi reported an improvement, and a decision on whether to risk him in the upcoming game will be made after the final training session. Jordan Cohen will continue to be absent. A club statement emphasized the importance of restoring the fans' honor after a recent performance against Maccabi Netanya, vowing that such a display would not be repeated.
