IDF Confirms Eliminating Hamas Khan Younis Brigade Commander

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency have officially confirmed the precise airstrike in Khan Younis that eliminated a senior Hamas commander. The target, Muhammad Yazouri, recently appointed as the commander of Hamas's military wing in the Khan Younis brigade, was killed along with a company commander and another operative.

Yazouri held several previous senior positions within the brigade, including deputy commander, commander of the combat support battalion, and head of the brigade's intelligence department. In his recent role, he was responsible for directing terrorist activities and planning attacks against Israeli forces and civilians. He had been working to rebuild the brigade's strength after sustaining significant damage during the ongoing conflict.

Also eliminated in the targeted strike were Hudhayfa Ammar, a company commander, and Muhammad Bahjat Rachi. The IDF stated that forces from the Southern Command are deployed in the area according to plan and will continue to operate decisively to remove any immediate threats.

The operation highlights ongoing efforts by Israeli forces to dismantle Hamas's military capabilities in the southern Gaza Strip.
