Israel Foils Major Arms Smuggling Attempt at Eastern Border
Israeli security forces thwarted an attempt to smuggle 34 weapons across the eastern border with Jordan early this morning. Officers from the Jordan Border Unit, alongside combatants from the Border Police and the Yiftach Brigade, set up an ambush after identifying suspicious activity in the area.
During the operation, two suspects from Jericho, both in their 50s, were apprehended. Authorities seized 34 pistols and two M-16 rifles from the individuals.
