Israir Sells $8 Million in Tickets to New York in Hours
Israir, the Israeli airline owned by businessman Rami Levy, has launched its flights to the United States with significant initial success. The company opened sales for flights to New York on Monday at 2:00 PM, and within a few hours, secured approximately $8 million in bookings.
The sales were rolled out in stages, initially for flights through the end of September, then extended to the end of November, and now include bookings up to March 2027. Israir stated that this strong performance reflects public trust in their product, competitive pricing, and the value they bring to the popular New York route.
The airline emphasized that the $8 million figure is just the beginning, as these bookings were made before sales opened for peak demand periods in 2027, including Passover and the summer season. Ticket prices are expected to start around $1,900 for the busiest periods, dropping to approximately $1,600 for other times.
