Scandinavian Airlines Returns to Israel After Decade-Long Hiatus
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), a major North European airline, is resuming direct flights between Tel Aviv and Copenhagen starting October 26, 2026. The route will operate four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturday evenings, utilizing the company's new Airbus A320neo aircraft equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi.
This marks SAS's return to Israel after a nearly ten-year suspension of operations, which began in 2016. The airline had a brief return in late 2025 before this more substantial relaunch. The increased frequency of flights is intended to provide convenient connections from Israel to various Scandinavian destinations.
Fares for the new service start at approximately 400 euros one-way, which includes a small backpack. An additional fee of about 35 euros one-way will be charged for a carry-on suitcase and a checked bag up to 23 kilograms.
