Man Arrested for Allegedly Attempting to Murder Brother by Storing Him in Jerusalem Trash Can
Jerusalem police have arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of attempting to murder his brother by allegedly throwing him into a hidden garbage bin in the Gilo neighborhood. Emergency services rescued the victim, who was found in moderate condition and taken for medical treatment. The suspect is due to appear in the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court on Sunday for a hearing on extending his remand.
The incident came to light when police received a report on Saturday about a person discovered inside a concealed trash container. Officers from the Moriah police station in Jerusalem launched an investigation. Evidence and surveillance footage collected during the probe indicated the victim's brother was involved. He was subsequently arrested and is being questioned on suspicion of attempted murder.
