Man Arrested for Assaulting 7-Year-Old Nephew and Throwing Him in Trash Bin in Northern Israel
A 43-year-old man from northern Israel was arrested on suspicion of violently assaulting his 7-year-old nephew during a family dispute on August 11. According to police investigations, the incident occurred in a village in the northern district where the child lived with his mother and uncle. During the argument, the uncle allegedly took the boy to the yard, kicked him in the upper body while he was lying on the ground, then lifted and threw him into a trash bin. The child sustained multiple injuries and was treated medically. Following the investigation, the Northern District Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment on August 24 at the Nazareth District Court, charging the man with assault causing serious injury to a minor under his care and requested his detention until the conclusion of legal proceedings. The court also imposed a gag order prohibiting the publication of any identifying details about the child or the accused.
