Average Israeli Salary Rose in July, Driven by Tech Sector Gains
The average salary for an Israeli employee in July reached NIS 14,561, marking an increase of NIS 499, or 3.5%, compared to July of the previous year. These preliminary estimates were released by the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS).
The number of salaried positions in Israel for July was estimated at 4.233 million, a slight increase of 0.3% from June and a similar 0.3% rise from July last year.
Updated figures for June show the average salary at NIS 15,218, an increase of NIS 1,086, or 7.7%, compared to June 2022. In the high-tech sector specifically, the average salary in June was NIS 36,584, up by NIS 3,845, or 11.7%, from the previous year.
High-tech accounted for 9.4% of all salaried positions in June, with approximately 396,900 jobs. This number remained stable from May but saw a 0.2% increase compared to June of the prior year.
