Netanyahu Affirms Israel Holds Positions, Continues Gaza Operation

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited IDF positions near the Gaza border, known as the "yellow line," on September 2, 2026. He was accompanied by senior military officials, including the Chief of Staff, the commander of the Southern Military District, and the commander of the 99th Division. Military commanders briefed Netanyahu on the operational situation, current combat missions, and security measures for soldiers and border communities.

During his visit, Netanyahu addressed the troops, emphasizing the importance of holding their current positions. He stated that Israeli forces have full control of the situation and will not retreat. The Prime Minister highlighted that the army controls a significant portion of Gaza and is conducting targeted operations against militants.
