Maccabi Tel Aviv Secures James Tavernier, Seeks Left-Back After Roy Revivo's Departure

Maccabi Tel Aviv has officially sold left-back Roy Revivo to Elche, a key player in their championship-winning seasons. The club is now actively seeking replacements for both full-back positions.

On the right side, James Tavernier from Rangers has reportedly agreed to terms. Tavernier, a prolific scorer in the Scottish league, is expected to join as a free agent and reunite with Kenny Miller. While Tyreece Asante can play right-back, he is likely to shift to center-back following Tavernier's arrival. Tavernier, though a right-back unlike Revivo, is known for his attacking contributions and is anticipated to fill a similar creative role for the team.

The team is also looking for a right winger to replace Amir Sahiti. In a recent match, Noam Ben Harush started at right-back due to Asante's illness.

For the left-back position, Maccabi Tel Aviv is prioritizing an Israeli player, with Yahav Gurfinkel being a leading candidate. Noam Ben Harush, capable of playing both full-back positions, will also see increased playing time, alongside existing squad member Shahar Rosen. The club does not plan to sign a foreign player for this role.

Additionally, Maccabi Tel Aviv may sign a foreign center-back before the transfer window closes, with Nikola Maras being a potential candidate to join Mohammed Ali Camara, Raz Shlomo, and Itay Ben Hamo.
