Ferencvaros May Lower Asking Price for Israeli Midfielder Gabi Kanyukovsky

Israeli midfielder Gabi Kanyukovsky was once again left on the bench for Ferencvaros in their recent victory over Puskas Akademia. This follows a similar situation on Thursday when he was not included in the squad at all for the Europa League playoff second leg against Trabzonspor. Kanyukovsky has not started or been substituted into recent matches, leading to speculation that his club may be willing to negotiate a transfer fee lower than initially demanded.

Maccabi Tel Aviv, who are reportedly interested in Kanyukovsky, believe Ferencvaros might accept a fee closer to 1.5 million euros. The Hungarian club initially sought 2.3 million euros and later reduced their demand to 1.8 million euros. Maccabi Tel Aviv must now decide if they are willing to meet the potential new asking price, while also considering Kanyukovsky's contract demands, which are reported to be 600,000 euros net per season for three years.

While Kanyukovsky has not publicly pushed for a return to Israel, his lack of playing time in recent games could influence his desire to move back and play in his home country.
