IDF intercepts Hezbollah rockets aimed at troops in southern Lebanon
The Israeli Air Force intercepted several rockets fired by Hezbollah toward an area where IDF forces are operating in southern Lebanon, the military said. According to the IDF spokesperson, the interceptions took place after the launch was directed at troops in the area.
The army also said that in several separate incidents earlier in the day, Hezbollah fired an anti-tank missile and mortar shells at forces operating in southern Lebanon. No casualties were reported in those attacks.
In addition, the IDF said that in four different incidents during the day, troops identified several militants moving in vehicles and approaching them in a way that posed an immediate threat. The Air Force then carried out targeted strikes against them shortly after they were detected.
