IDF intercepts Hezbollah rockets and kills militants in southern Lebanon
The Israeli Air Force intercepted several rockets fired by Hezbollah at IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon. Earlier in the day, Hezbollah also launched an anti-tank missile and several mortar shells at the troops, but no casualties were reported.
Throughout the day, the IDF identified militants in four separate incidents as they moved in vehicles and approached the forces in a way that created an immediate threat. The Air Force carried out targeted strikes against all of the threats, guided by the troops on the ground.
The military said the attacks were directed at protecting its forces in the area and stopping the advancing militants before they could harm them. The statement did not specify the number of militants killed or the exact locations of the strikes inside southern Lebanon.
