IDF Confirms Eliminating Hamas Finance Chief in Khan Younis
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the elimination of Mohammed Abu Alwan, identified as the head of Hamas's finance department, in an operation in Khan Younis. The strike was carried out recently.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant praised the IDF and the Shin Bet security agency for the precise operation. They stated, "We continue to pursue Hamas commanders and operatives, to strike its funding sources, and to destroy its terror infrastructure. We will not allow Hamas to rebuild its strength and will not stop until there is no Hamas in Gaza."
The operation is part of ongoing efforts by Israeli forces to dismantle Hamas's capabilities and leadership following the October 7th attacks.
