Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant confirmed Wednesday that the IDF had killed Muhammad Abu Alwan, identified as the head of Hamas's finance department, in a recent strike in Khan Younis, Gaza.
In a joint statement, Netanyahu and Gallant praised the IDF and the Shin Bet for the "precise operation" and "aggressive action to thwart our enemies." They added, "We continue to pursue Hamas commanders and operatives, to strike its funding sources, and to destroy its terror infrastructure."
The leaders vowed that "we will not allow Hamas to rebuild its strength and will not stop until there is no Hamas in Gaza." The statement emphasized the ongoing commitment to dismantling the terrorist organization's capabilities and leadership.
