Israel Eliminates Hamas Finance Chief in Gaza Operation

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that the IDF eliminated Muhammad Abu Alwan, identified as the head of Hamas's finance department in Gaza, in an operation in Khan Yunis.

The joint statement praised the IDF and the Shin Bet for the precise operation and their ongoing efforts to neutralize enemies. "We continue to pursue Hamas commanders and operatives, to harm its funding sources, and to destroy its terror infrastructure," the statement read.

Netanyahu and Katz vowed that Israel would not allow Hamas to rebuild its strength and would not cease operations until Hamas is destroyed in Gaza. The operation targeted Abu Alwan, who was responsible for managing the terror group's finances.
