Netanyahu, Katz Announce Hamas Finance Chief Eliminated in Khan Younis
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz announced Wednesday that the IDF eliminated Muhammad Abu Alwan, identified as the head of Hamas's finance department, in Khan Younis.
In a joint statement, the two leaders praised the IDF and the Shin Bet for the "precise operation and aggressive action to thwart our enemies." They emphasized that the campaign against Hamas leadership and infrastructure would continue.
"We continue to pursue Hamas commanders and operatives, to strike its funding sources, and to destroy its terror infrastructure," the statement read. Netanyahu and Katz concluded by declaring, "We will not allow Hamas to rebuild its strength and will not stop until Hamas is no longer in Gaza."
