Two Israeli Soldiers Lightly Wounded in Southern Lebanon Blast
Two Israeli soldiers were lightly injured when an explosive device detonated on an engineering vehicle in southern Lebanon. The soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment and their families were notified.
In response to the attack, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) targeted Hezbollah terror infrastructure in the area. The IDF stated that immediately following the incident, several terror infrastructures were attacked in multiple locations in southern Lebanon.
According to the IDF, the targeted infrastructures included observation posts and terror facilities from which Hezbollah operatives were working to advance and execute terror attacks against Israeli forces. The IDF reiterated its commitment to protecting Israeli civilians and forces, stating, "IDF forces continue to be deployed in the security area in southern Lebanon in accordance with the agreement, and will continue to operate to remove threats to the citizens of the State of Israel and IDF forces."
The military added, "The IDF is currently operating and will continue to operate forcefully against the repeated attempts by the Hezbollah terror organization to harm our forces."
