Senior Hamas Operative Arrested in Tulkarm on Terrorism Charges
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency announced Monday the arrest of a senior Hamas operative in Tulkarm. The individual, identified as Muhammad Ibrahim Abd al-Wahhab Shahada, was wanted for alleged involvement in terrorist activities, including planning and executing attacks, and arms trafficking.
The operation involved elite Duvdevan unit soldiers, operating under the command of the Ephraim Brigade and guided by the Shin Bet. The arrest followed an intelligence and operational manhunt spanning several weeks.
According to security forces, Shahada served as a senior operative for Hamas in Tulkarm. Authorities stated he was suspected of planning and carrying out attacks and engaging in the arms trade.
