Hapoel Jerusalem Fan Hospitalized After Attack by Maccabi Tel Aviv Supporters
A Hapoel Jerusalem fan was hospitalized at Beilinson Hospital with a suspected skull fracture following an attack by Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters after the match between the two teams on Sunday. The fan's brother, who was also assaulted, sustained severe facial injuries but was released from the hospital. Two additional Hapoel Jerusalem fans were attacked, including one who is on the high-functioning autism spectrum. Video footage showed Maccabi Tel Aviv fans using pepper spray and smashing a Hapoel Jerusalem fan's car window during the incident. Despite the severity of the attack, Hapoel Jerusalem stated to Kan News that they have yet to receive any updates from the police regarding arrests of the assailants.
