Hapoel Jerusalem Fans Assaulted with Pepper Spray and Batons After Match
Following the Premier League match between Hapoel Jerusalem and Maccabi Tel Aviv on Sunday evening, fans of Hapoel Jerusalem were attacked while traveling in their car. The incident occurred after the game ended with a 5-2 victory for Hapoel Jerusalem. According to the fans, about 20 assailants approached their vehicle, questioned them about the contents of their bags, and sprayed them with pepper spray. After driving a short distance, the attackers smashed the car's window and stole the bags. Subsequently, another group of around 20 masked individuals arrived, assaulting fans with batons and throwing stones. The violent episode lasted approximately ten minutes and resulted in two Hapoel Jerusalem supporters being injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. Police have launched an investigation into the attack.
