Prolonged Heatwave in Israel Peaks Friday with Extreme Heat Across Most Regions

Starting tomorrow, Israel will experience a further rise in temperatures, culminating on Friday with intense heatwave conditions. The weather will be unusually hot and dry, especially in the mountainous areas, while coastal regions will feel oppressive humidity. Most parts of the country will face heavy to extreme heat burdens.

Today, after morning clouds clear, temperatures will slightly increase in the mountains and inland areas, with heat stress intensifying mainly inland. Tonight will be clear to partly cloudy. On Thursday, after morning cloud dispersal, temperatures will rise again, exceeding seasonal averages particularly in the mountains and inland, accompanied by increased heat stress across most regions. Northern winds will strengthen along the coastal plain from midday.

Friday will bring a slight additional temperature increase, especially in the mountains and inland, with hot and dry conditions persisting. The coastal plain will remain humid. Heat stress will worsen, reaching heavy to extreme levels in most areas. Forecasted temperatures include Jerusalem 18-31°C, Tel Aviv 24-31°C, Beersheba 22-35°C, Haifa 23-30°C, Tiberias 23-36°C, Safed 19-30°C, and Eilat 28-40°C.
