Alon Ziv Takes Coaching Role at Ironi Tiberias Amid Team Changes

Alon Ziv has been appointed as the new coach of Ironi Tiberias ahead of the upcoming Israeli Premier League season, marking a significant change for the northern club. Following a turbulent summer and the decision that former coach Eliran Hodeda would not return at this time, Ziv signed with the club and will work alongside Moti Krispil. In an interview with Sport 5, Ziv described the challenge and his approach to the role, explaining that after a less successful previous season and finding himself without a team in the National League, he accepted the offer from Ironi Tiberias.

Ziv revealed that under normal circumstances, he might not have taken this position, as it became available due to unforeseen circumstances. He emphasized that Krispil, who is fully involved in the process, would have been the head coach if he held the proper certification. The two have agreed on an equal division of responsibilities and maintain open communication to ensure a collaborative working relationship. Ziv stressed the importance of compromise and mutual understanding as they prepare for the new season, which begins this Saturday.
