Tiberias Football Club Considers Three Candidates to Join Coach Krispil
Tiberias Football Club is preparing for the upcoming Premier League season opener against Hapoel Petah Tikva this Saturday. Following a 3-0 loss to Maccabi Petah Tikva in the Toto Cup ranking matches, the club plans to appoint a co-coach to work alongside current coach Moti Krispil within the next 24 hours. The candidates under consideration are Alon Ziv, Nimrod Kostika, and Guy Weisinger, as initially reported by Sport 5.
Moti Krispil, who lacks a professional coaching certificate, will continue to play a significant role in the team's coaching despite the new appointment. The club has ruled out the return of Eliran Hodeda as head coach this season, as he awaits a hearing before the Sports Arbitration Tribunal over allegations related to match-fixing.
Alon Ziv has recently coached in the National League and began the current season with Maccabi Jaffa. Nimrod Kostika, who has Premier League experience, coached Hadera towards the end of the 2024/25 season. Guy Weisinger, previously linked to Hapoel Afula and a longtime youth coach at Maccabi Haifa, currently coaches the youth team at M.S. Ashdod in the National League. The club is expected to finalize its decision shortly.
