Alon Ziv Takes Over Coaching Role at Ironi Tiberias Ahead of Premier League Season

Alon Ziv has been appointed as the new coach of Ironi Tiberias, preparing to lead the team in the upcoming Israeli Premier League season starting this Saturday. Following a turbulent summer and the decision that former coach Eliran Hodeda would not return at this stage, Ziv signed with the club and will work alongside Moti Krispil. In an interview with Sport 5, Ziv described the challenge and the division of responsibilities for the season ahead.

Ziv explained that after a less successful previous season and finding himself without a team in the National League, he accepted the offer from Ironi Tiberias. He acknowledged that under normal circumstances, he might not have been in this position, noting that if Krispil had the necessary coaching certifications, he would have been the head coach. Ziv emphasized that Krispil is fully involved in the process and that their working relationship is based on equality and mutual compromise.

The new coaching duo agreed on an equal division of authority, with open communication and cooperation as key elements. Ziv highlighted that such arrangements require flexibility and understanding to succeed. Ironi Tiberias aims to improve on last season’s performance under this new leadership structure.
