Tiberias Football Club Considers Three Candidates to Join Coach Krispil
Tiberias Football Club is preparing for the upcoming Israeli Premier League season opener against Hapoel Petah Tikva this Saturday. Following a 3-0 defeat to Maccabi Petah Tikva in the Toto Cup ranking matches, the club plans to appoint a co-coach to work alongside current coach Moti Krispil within the next 24 hours. The candidates under consideration are Alon Ziv, Nimrod Kostika, and Guy Weizinger, as initially reported by Sport 5.
Moti Krispil, who lacks a professional coaching certificate, will continue to play a significant role in the team's coaching. Meanwhile, Eliran Hodeda is not expected to return as head coach this season as he awaits a hearing at the Sports Arbitration Court over allegations related to match-fixing.
Alon Ziv has recently coached in the National League and began this season with Maccabi Jaffa. Nimrod Kostika, who has Premier League experience, coached Hadera towards the end of the 2024/25 season. Guy Weizinger, currently the youth coach at M.S. Ashdod in the National League, has been linked to Hapoel Afula and previously served as the youth coach for Maccabi Haifa. The club aims to finalize its coaching staff promptly ahead of the league kickoff.
