Two Men Killed in Severe Head-On Crash Near Beit Shemesh

Two men in their 40s died overnight in a serious car accident on Road 383 near the moshav Zachariah, south of Beit Shemesh. Emergency medical teams from Magen David Adom arrived at the scene between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning and confirmed the deaths of the two men. A woman in her 40s was moderately injured and was taken to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem for treatment.

Paramedics Zuri'el Meirs, Yehoshua Gottlieb, and Shmuel Arieli described the crash as very severe, involving two vehicles. One man was found unconscious and without vital signs on the roadside, while the other was trapped inside his vehicle, also unconscious and without signs of life. Despite medical efforts, both men were declared dead at the scene.

Jerusalem District police, traffic division officers, and Border Police forces responded to the accident. Initial reports indicate the crash was likely a head-on collision. Authorities closed the road, directed traffic, and began collecting evidence. Police accident investigators are conducting a full inquiry into the circumstances of the crash.
