Two Men in Their 40s Die in Fatal Head-On Crash Near Beit Shemesh

Two men around 40 years old were killed in a severe head-on collision between two private vehicles on Road 383, south of the settlement of Zakaria, near Beit Shemesh, during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday. A woman, also about 40, was moderately injured and taken to the hospital. Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) reported that both men suffered multiple severe injuries and were found unconscious without pulse or breathing. Despite medical efforts, their deaths were confirmed at the scene. The woman received medical treatment and was evacuated to the hospital in moderate condition.

This tragic accident follows a series of recent fatal road incidents in Israel, including the death of a 17-year-old in a crash involving a truck and two vehicles on Highway 6 near the Kiryat Gat interchange about three weeks ago. Additionally, a 27-year-old was moderately injured in that incident. Other recent fatal accidents include a pregnant woman killed in Ashdod and a 5-year-old child who died in Jerusalem.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the Beit Shemesh crash as part of ongoing concerns over road safety in the region.
