Two Men Die in Fatal Car Crash Near Beit Shemesh Amid Multiple Serious Road Accidents

Two men in their 40s were killed overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday in a severe car accident on Road 383 near Beit Shemesh. Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics treated a woman in her 40s at the scene, who was moderately injured and taken to hospital. Paramedics Zuri'el Meirs, Yehoshua Gottlieb, and Shmuel Arieli described the crash as very serious, involving two vehicles. Both men were found unconscious with no pulse or breathing and significant injuries, and were declared dead at the scene.

In a separate accident on Road 444 near Tayibe, a 26-year-old man was critically injured along with three others who sustained minor injuries. MDA paramedic Atef Salem reported providing life-saving treatment to the unconscious young man before transporting him to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba, while the others were also hospitalized.

Earlier this week, two men aged 43 and 53 were seriously hurt in a collision between a private car and a minibus on Road 886 near Ramat Naftali in the Upper Galilee. Both drivers were trapped and later airlifted by helicopter to Rambam Hospital in Haifa after being freed.

On Friday, Avishai Levi, a 46-year-old Haredi singer and songwriter from Jerusalem, died in a car accident in the city. His vehicle collided with a fence on Adoniyahu HaKohen Street and rolled over. MDA teams performed resuscitation efforts at the scene and during transport to Hadassah Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Witnesses noted Levi exited his car to unload luggage, but safety systems were allegedly disabled as he had unbuckled all seat belts, leaving the vehicle without braking mechanisms.
