Two Men Killed in Deadly Head-On Crash Near Beit Shemesh Laid to Rest

The bodies of Rabbi Meir Turgeman, 42, a respected educator and supervisor from Beit Shemesh, and Noam Dadon from Sdot Micha, were released for burial following a fatal head-on collision on Road 383 near the moshav of Zecharia. The accident occurred late Tuesday night when two private vehicles collided, resulting in the immediate deaths of both men. Emergency services including Magen David Adom, United Hatzalah, and ZAKA responded to the scene, finding the vehicles severely damaged and the victims without signs of life. A woman injured in the crash was taken to the hospital in moderate condition.

Rabbi Turgeman, who left behind nine orphaned children and had recently celebrated his son’s bar mitzvah, was known for his dedication to students as a supervisor and teacher in Beit Shemesh yeshivas. Knesset member Moshe Abutbul eulogized him as a revered educator whose commitment to his students was boundless and considered his work a sacred mission.

The legal team from ZAKA, including Yechiel Goldman and Rabbi Asher Landau from the Institute of Forensic Medicine, expedited the release of the bodies to allow prompt burial. Rabbi Turgeman’s funeral took place at 4 p.m. from the Chanichei HaYeshivot synagogue in Beit Shemesh to the city’s old cemetery. Noam Dadon’s funeral was held simultaneously at the local cemetery in Sharigim. ZAKA provided ambulance services for the transportation of the deceased to their funerals.
