Two Men Die in Negev Road Collision
Two men, both around 30 years old, were killed on Thursday in a head-on collision between two private vehicles on Highway 310, near the community of Giv'ot Bar in the Negev desert. Emergency medical teams from Magen David Adom (MDA) who arrived at the scene pronounced both men dead after finding them unconscious with no pulse or respiration and suffering from severe, multi-system trauma.
Razak Al-Touri, an MDA emergency medical technician, described the scene as "horrific." He stated that both vehicles sustained significant damage to their front ends, with one coming to rest against a barrier fence. "We performed medical checks and unfortunately had to pronounce them dead at the scene," Al-Touri said.
Police from the Rahat station and traffic accident investigators from the Negev region arrived to investigate the circumstances of the crash. Highway 310 was closed in both directions while authorities worked to manage traffic flow.
