Two Men Killed in Negev Road Accident
Two men, both around 30 years old, were killed Thursday morning in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 310 in the Negev desert, near the settlement of Giv'ot Bar, in the Rahat region. Emergency medical teams from Magen David Adom (MDA) who arrived at the scene found the men unconscious and pronounced them dead.
"This was a shocking road accident. The vehicles had severe frontal damage; one was on the median barrier," said MDA paramedic Razak Al-Touri. "Two men, around 30 years old, were lying unconscious with no pulse or breathing, suffering from severe systemic injuries. We performed medical examinations and unfortunately had to pronounce them dead at the scene."
Earlier the same morning, a cyclist around 50 years old was critically injured when he was hit by a car that overturned in Herzliya. MDA teams responding to the scene on Ariel Sharon Street in the city evacuated him, performing CPR, to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv. Separately, a 54-year-old motorcyclist sustained serious injuries from a tractor collision in the community of Bnei Zion in the Sharon region. He was taken to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba with limb injuries.
