Two Men Killed in Head-On Collision on Southern Highway
Two men, both around 30 years old, were killed on Thursday in a severe head-on collision between two private vehicles on Highway 310, near the settlement of Giv'ot Bar in the Negev desert.
Emergency medical services, including Magen David Adom and United Hatzalah, arrived at the scene after receiving a report at 10:30 AM. They found both vehicles with significant front-end damage, with one car on the median barrier. Responders discovered the two men unresponsive and pronounced them dead at the scene due to extensive, life-threatening injuries.
Firefighters from the Rahat station were dispatched to extricate the trapped individuals from the wreckage. Paramedics described the scene as "horrific."
Police and traffic accident investigators from the Rahat station and the Negev region are on-site investigating the circumstances of the crash. Highway 310 is currently closed in both directions, and drivers are advised to use alternative routes and follow police instructions.
