Two Men Killed in Severe Negev Collision; Separate Incident Injures Cyclist

Two men, both around 30 years old, were killed in a head-on collision between two private vehicles on Route 310 near Gevot Bar in the northern Negev on Thursday morning. Emergency medical services pronounced them dead at the scene due to severe, multi-system trauma. The vehicles sustained significant front-end damage, with one ending up on the median barrier.

Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the fatal crash. Rahat police and Negev district traffic accident investigators were present at the scene, and the road was closed in both directions.

In a separate incident earlier the same day, police arrested a 24-year-old Palestinian man from Nablus, suspected of being an illegal resident and stealing a car. He is also suspected of fatally hitting a cyclist near the Tzuk Beach in Tel Aviv. The suspect was apprehended after the stolen vehicle overturned in an accident. Investigators found tools for car theft, including an ignition computer, hammer, and breaking implements, inside the stolen car.

Separately, a cyclist, approximately 50 years old, was critically injured in a collision near the beach in Herzliya, close to Tel Aviv. Paramedics provided initial treatment and transported him to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv in critical condition while performing resuscitation efforts.
