Early Wednesday morning, two men in their 40s died in a severe head-on collision between two private vehicles on Road 383, south of Zekharia near Beit Shemesh. Emergency medical teams from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived at the scene and pronounced the two men dead due to their critical injuries. Additionally, a woman in her 40s was moderately injured and was treated on-site before being evacuated to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.

Paramedics Zuri'el Meirs, Yehoshua Gottlieb, and Shmuel Arieli described the crash as very severe, noting that one man was found unconscious and without vital signs on the roadside, while the other was trapped inside his vehicle, also unconscious and unresponsive. Despite medical efforts, both men were declared dead at the scene.

The Israel Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident. Officers from the Jerusalem District, the Traffic Department, and Border Police forces are managing the scene, closing the road, directing traffic, and collecting initial evidence. Traffic accident investigators are en route to conduct a detailed inquiry.
