Two Dead, One Seriously Injured in Head-On Collision in Jezreel Valley
Two passengers, aged approximately 30 and 40, were killed Wednesday evening in a head-on collision on Route 675 near the community of Kfar Yehezkel. A man in his 30s sustained serious injuries and was evacuated by Magen David Adom to HaEmek Hospital in Afula.
Israeli Police stated that officers from the Northern District and accident investigators arrived at the scene, directing traffic and launching an investigation into the circumstances of the crash. Fire and rescue teams from the Afula station extricated the individuals from the vehicles.
"This was a very severe head-on collision between two vehicles," said Fire Chief Michael Goldenberg, the incident commander. "Upon our arrival, we identified two trapped individuals, whose deaths were pronounced by medical personnel. Firefighters are using hydraulic tools to free them from the vehicles."
