Five-Year-Old Found Unconscious in Car in Lod in Critical Condition
A five-year-old boy was found unconscious and suffering from heatstroke symptoms inside a car in Lod on Sunday. Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived at the scene and immediately began advanced resuscitation efforts, including chest compressions and ventilation. The child was unresponsive, without pulse or breathing when first attended to. He was rushed to Assaf Harofeh Medical Center in critical condition while medical teams continued life-saving measures.
Senior MDA paramedic Chaim Shavit and paramedic Yosef Yitzhak Sagiv reported that they were fighting for the boy's life upon arrival. This incident comes amid other recent cases of children suffering near-drowning or heat-related emergencies in Israel, including a fatal infant drowning in Ashkelon and a six-year-old boy in critical condition after a pool accident in Holon.
