Israel Faces Rising Temperatures and Intense Heat Waves This Week

It will be hotter than usual and dry in the mountains and inland regions, while the coastal plain will remain cool. Heavy to extreme heat stress conditions are expected throughout most of Israel.

Tuesday, August 11, will be mostly sunny with continued above-average heat and dry conditions in the mountains and inland, and cooler temperatures along the coast. Heat stress will persist at heavy to extreme levels nationwide.

By Wednesday, August 12, temperatures will slightly decrease mainly in the mountains and inland, but conditions will remain warmer than normal and dry in these areas, with the coastal plain staying cool. Heavy to extreme heat stress will continue across most regions.

Specific temperature forecasts include Tel Aviv-Jaffa ranging from 25 to 31 degrees Celsius, Haifa 26 to 31, Jerusalem 24 to 33, Ashdod 24 to 31, Beersheba 22 to 37, Ashkelon 25 to 30, Mitzpe Ramon 23 to 33, and Afula 24 to 36 degrees Celsius.
